Candy-size fruit from our Georgia Peach tree
Besides the many organizations that support childhood cancer research, there are countless others dedicated to making treatment more bearable for the warriors going through it. They provide gifts, adventures, or other distractions that allow the kids to just be kids for a bit. Pure, living-in-the-moment joy. We've mentioned several of those groups here, but one we've just recently discovered is Peach's Neet Feet, which creates custom-painted tennis shoes for children with life-threatening illnesses and disabilities. Each colorful pair is designed with the child's name and interests, plus a tiny little peach, in honor of the artist, "Peach" Steiner.
