We're really in the thick of the school year now, and here's the latest news:
We met with Georgia's college advisor last week and had a great conference. She is right where she needs to be academically, so she's going to focus on sending the schools she's interested in the best package she can. Her advisor complimented her on many things, and Mom only almost cried four or five times. Just so proud of her and excited for her future!
Hot on the heels of her last newspaper article, Georgia turned in a very thoughtful and personal piece about her years on the swim team. Her voice shines through, and it's evident she's benefited from the experience both inside and outside the pool. Read it here.
This weekend, Georgia took her art to the annual Visual Arts Scholastic Event (VASE), and she earned a 4 (the highest score) on her portrait of Ivy! She also got some good feedback that she can use when putting together her portfolio for AP Art and college applications. She also took the first of two practice SATs - the real deal is in two weeks!
There are NINE days left to order a Georgia original t-shirt, in support of her Official Cancer-Freedom shave - click here to get yours TODAY!
Last but not least - today's moment to remember is a reminder of what treatment looks like, how far Georgia has come, and why we continue to raise awareness, hope, and funds for kids fighting cancer. Thank you for being a part of our team!
