St. Jude

I hung up a favorite Christmas present today - thanks, Mom.

And then, I "met" Pat. You should meet him, too. Pat is a long term ALL survivor, one of the first. His story is a testament to the power of - and the critical need for - childhood cancer research and the hope provided by St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and other institutions like it. I choose to think of St. Jude as the patron saint of hopeFUL causes, and I tell him thanks every day for our walking, talking ray of happiness and possibility. And now, I'll tell him thanks for Pat.

  1. Just found your blog and my heart is bursting! My 17 year-old son is in remission from Acute Myeloid Leukemia and I couldn't be more thankful to God that he is here with us (healthy and happy). God bless anyone that has had a child with cancer. It is a very tough trial but one of the biggest blessings too! I say that because as my son fought his cancer we became a closer family unit, our faith in God was strengthened, and we feel as though angles were with us! Bless you and your family!
