Good Friday

Not much to report today - just that it's a beautiful day here in Austin, Texas, and Georgia is feeling great! The week off really served her well, and she's ready to ramp it back up on Tuesday. She'll be back on the four-days-for-two-weeks schedule, and the longest, hardest day will probably be this Tuesday, so any extra good thoughts and vibes that morning would be appreciated!

Yesterday, during an impromptu drive by her school, Georgia had a short visit with our dear Joe and Claire - she was so happy to see them! Later, Ivy delivered the most darling quilt, lovingly sewn by the students and teachers in Upper Elementary. Georgia will certainly be snuggling up in it at the clinic these next few weeks, so thank you, friends!

Also, a HUGE thank you to everyone who's donated to St. Baldrick's! The event is a week away, and we're just $50 behind the first place team! If you haven't already, please visit our Peachy Keens team site (click on the picture over there in the sidebar), and give what you can - your gift could push us over the top! And stay tuned for a very special announcement re: St. Baldrick's ...

  4. I hope you guys had a great "road trip" to Johnson City. Did you see any blue bonnets? Guess what? I think Lolly shamed your Uncle Jeff into gettin an iPhone! Yesterday she was showing us some of her
apps and jeff made a comment about being happy with his phone and Lolly said "your phone has no capabilities and barely works outside of New Braunfels". So we found ourselves at the AT&T store today!
Well, we are looking forward to St. Baldricks! See you next Saturday! Oh-- I LOVE the new floor and tile.

  6. Hi Georgia!
You are definitely on my mind everyday! I'm happy to hear that you are doing so well! Keep that positive attitude as it will carry you through this journey with flying colors!
I want to tell you about our "new" cat. He is actually a feral cat that my husband and I have tamed. He is beautiful! White with blue eyes. We named him Blanco (I know that you probably know that means white in Spanish) Isn't that original? HaHa He only lets my husband and me pet him and pick him up. We have taken him on a "tour" of our house so he can begin to feel comfortable being inside. We have to teach him to use the litter box but that may be hard. We certainly can't show him! I still want to come see you and I plan on doing that just as soon as I get through working in Phoenix which will be in April. I think it is really "neat" that your Mom shaved her head! What a nice shaped head she has! What a great support system you have what with your family and many friends from all over!
I'll bring a picture of Blanco when I come to see you. I guess I should also bring pictures of our two other cats, Ernie and Samantha. They may get jealous otherwise!
    Stay strong!
    Edie
