Take Two

Back to the clinic tomorrow for blood counts and, hopefully, Day Surgery (IT chemotherapy) this time. Georgia is miles away from where she was for last week's appointment - her appetite and energy have returned, her cough is pretty much gone, and she just feels so much better. I'm sure there will be some anxiety in the morning (mostly about being allergic to the new shots), but I know she will soldier on, as usual. If all goes well with the Erwinia shots, she'll get those every other day for the next 12 days, take a few days off, then 12 more days. After that, she'll have two more rounds like that but not until later on in the protocol.

Speaking of which, starting from diagnosis, we are about 16 weeks into this and, if we go day-for-day with the protocol for the remainder of treatment, we have about 16 weeks to go until maintenance. So YAY! Halfway! Sort of! Inevitably, we'll have some delays here and there, so we're not setting the date of our ice cream party just yet, but we're certainly dreaming about it already! Just keep your calendars open in August, 'kay? Thanks!
